A CONTEMPORARY Burleigh Heads mansion has sold for a record $2 million after just three days on the market.
A Gold Coast family looking for a seachange bought the new home at 79 Ocean Parade, known as Oceania, last month.
The sale has smashed the street’s previous record, which was set by No. 100 when it sold for $1.6 million last year.
NGU Real Estate agent Emil Juresic said he and fellow agent Sean Graves received about 100 inquiries about the property and showed 50 groups through in three days.
He said buyers fell in love with the home’s position and modern design.
“The sellers developed an amazing house, which is a quality build with great design,” Mr Juresic said.
The four-bedroom home was among one of the most viewed homes on realestate.com.au last month.
Mr Juresic said the sellers, Roxy and Darren Smith, built two similar homes next to each other – one they decided to live in and No. 79 they sold.
The multi-level home sits on an elevated block and is surrounded by bushland with views to the Hinterland, famous Gold Coast beaches and Tallebudgera Creek.
Oversized windows and towering glass doors that open the combined kitchen and living area up onto the entertainment deck and pool make the most of the coastal views. Mr Juresic said this was what the new buyers loved most about it.
“The couple were living on a few acres of land and wanted to buy a great home with water views,” Mr Juresic said.
“They are absolutely in love with this home.”
The property also has a double garage underneath the pool and a butler’s pantry.
Mrs Smith said they had searched for the perfect block of land for years.
“We were super lucky to find this block,” she said.
