A New York-style penthouse in this southeast Queensland suburb has sold for a multi-million dollar price overnight.

The double-storey penthouse at 1303/37 Archer St, Toowong sold for a whopping $3.075 million. It was the first time the penthouse had hit the market since its recent development as part of Centra Toowong.

According to CoreLogic, the sale is one of the top three unit prices ever achieved in the suburb. The four-bedroom, fivebathroom penthouse has a nine-car garage. The pet-friendly 14-storey building also has a rooftop deck with a pool and spa.

There are five bathrooms, so every bedroom has an ensuite, all with white marble vanities, as well as a walk-in wardrobe. NGU Real Estate principal Emil Juresic said he did not get home until after midnight last night, as the seller lived at Coolangatta.

“ The buyers live at Indooroopilly and the seller at the coast, so I had to jump in the car and make it happen,” Mr Juresic said.

“The sellers, who have two kids, bought a luxury home in March but because they travel a lot for business they wanted a property with no maintenance.” Mr Juresic said the sale price was testament to the suburb’s appeal. “I haven’t seen anything like this in the Toowong area,” he said.

“This apartment has that New York feel to it. It’s only eight months old and was owned by the construction manager who has decided to live on the coast rather than in Brisbane.” Mr Juresic said the seller was “over the moon” as the property was sold above his expectations.

Floor-to-ceiling glass means thespectacular aspect is appreciated from every metre of the floorplan. “The views are to die for,” Mr Juresic said.

“This building is walking distance to the trainstation and local shopping centre.”

He said the large private balcony was arguably the most impressive outdoor entertaining space in Brisbane.
