Home along Brisbane Corso sells for record $2.1M.

A three-level house in Brisbane’s inner suburb of Fairfield has sold at a record highest price of any property along Brisbane Corso at $2.1 million. The grand five-bedroom, five-bathroom home at 120 Brisbane Corso, sold within just four weeks, with more than 100 groups viewing the property in that time. NGU Real Estate chief executive Emil Juresic said the buyers had moved from interstate and could not resist the property after becoming interested in the area. “THE BUYERS ARE A FAMILY FROM CANBERRA WHO HAVE MOVED TO BRISBANE AND FELL IN LOVE WITH THE HOUSE, LOCATION AND NEARBY PARK,” Mr. Juresic said. He said an aggressive marketing campaign is needed in order to sell properties such as this one, as there were a number of others for sale on Brisbane Corso. “I knew we had to be aggressive … because there are a few properties for sale on Brisbane Corso. “I knew it would be challenging … but we did have an amazing home on our hands.” The futuristic residence is controlled by smart technology, and features a swimming pool, cinema, gymnasium and a three-car garage.

One open home, three days on the market, and a $3.3m sale for Paddington new build.

A newly-built home at 33 Tooth Avenue in Paddington has just sold for a record breaking price of $3.3 million. The sale set a new record for Tooth Avenue, considered to be one of Paddington’s best streets. The previous record sale was set by number 29, which sold for $2.4 million in 2016. The five-bedroom home was built by Builders Zephyr Industries and designed in a Hamptons style — a style that has become very popular with Brisbane buyers — with an emphasis placed on luxury and quality finishes. The home had just one open home on a Saturday after going to the market earlier that week on Wednesday; more than 300 people attended that one open home. The house went under contract almost immediately after the open home. Selling agent Emil Juresic said the buyer was an executive from Brisbane who wished to remain anonymous. “It’s a massive result,” he said. Mr Juresic attributed the speedy sale to the quality of the home, and the marketing campaign which he had previously described as “brutal”. “It all depends on the house, this house was very unique, we had a great home and a great marketing strategy,” he said. “We had 180,000 views on our videos, 200 email enquiries in the first few days.” Mr Juresic said he expected to see more $3 million-plus sales in the suburb soon. “At the moment we are starting to see activity around prestige houses and in the next few months I’m about to list five homes around the $3 million range.”

It also falls into Daisy Hill’s top 10 highest house transactions on record, according to Mr Juresic received three offers on the home within the first day of the property being listed “It’s the equivalent of selling a house in New Farm for $30 million,” Mr Juresic said. “Our marketing campaign was aggressive. Within 24 hours of the house going on the market we had over 30 calls, inspections all day and three written offers.” Mr Juresic said a local family purchased the property. “They wanted a bigger house and to be closer to work,” he said. “It’s a beautiful home in the best part of Daisy Hill and very close to John Paul College. “A home of this quality, in this area, doesn’t come up very often.” The double-storey contemporary home is on a 1200sq m elevated allotment.
